Exhibition 1
May 2025
Claire Buckerfield is an artist with an interest in 2D and 3D drawing. Her work is created with non-traditional drawing materials, including industrial tape and ribbon.

Her drawings are a celebration of the insignificant and the banal. She takes inspiration from local architecture and the spaces people inhabit.

Her distinctive visual approach inspires others to explore their everyday surroundings with a new perspective. Her work has been exhibited widely, including in galleries and as part of public art commissions.

Location29 commissioned Claire to create designs for rugs, using the plans of our refurbished Grade 2 jewellery workshop for inspiration. These designs were then transformed in to rugs by a skilled and artistic UK rug maker.

For Claires exhibition we partnered to raise funds for BIRMINGHAM MIND. Whilst being part of the national MIND umbrella, Birmingham Mind has to raise its own funds with none being provided centrally. All money raised from Claire’s exhibition is used to support facilities in Birmingham.
